Great Divide Pumped Storage Hydro is a proposed closed loop pumped storage project located outside the town of Jeffrey City in Fremont County, Wyoming. The project will be located on Federal Bureau of Land Management (BLM), State of Wyoming, and privately owned land, taking advantage of the unique geographical features of the area. The project will be sized at 399+/- MW.
The Great Divide PSH facility will provide ancillary & balancing capabilities to Wyoming’s emerging renewable energy industry while bringing stability, reliability, growth, and longevity to the existing energy infrastructure in the region.
